Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "REMOÇÃO DE MATERIAL POR RADIAÇÃO APLICADA A UM ÂNGULO OBLÍQUIO". Um aparelho (10) e processo para remover material indesejado da superfície de um substrato (12) proporciona um fluxo (18) de gás inerte sobre a superfície do substrato de material indesejado enquanto irradiando (11) o material indesejado com fótons energéticos dirigidos a um ângulo (8) que é oblíquio ao substrato (12). A invenção habilita a remoção de material indesejado sem alterar as propriedades físicas do material subjacente ou adjacente ao material indesejado removido. Sob determinadas circunstâncias, a incidência não-perpendicular permite efetiva remoção onde a incidência perpendicular causa dano ao substrato ou remoção insatisfatória, ou ambas.
