A presente invenção refere-se a um artigo moldado termomoldado, amorfo, com uma espessura na faixa de 1 até 20 mm, que contém tereftalato de polietileno cristalizável como componente principal e se destaca por boas propriedades mecânicas e boas propriedade óticas. O artigo moldado pode ser eventualmente transparente, tingido transparente ou tingido coberto. Em uma forma de execução preferida, ele é adiconalmente estável ao ultravioleta. A invenção refere-se, além disso, a um processo para a sua preparação, bem como ao seu emprego.
