A invenção refere-se a um processo paras o tratamento biológico de águas residuais, no qual uma mistura de lodo ativo e águas residuais é gaseificada em uma etapa de ativação (2) e o lodo ativo é separado das águas residuais tratadas por flutuação (5), caracterizado pelo fato de que a concentração do lodo ativo na etapa de ativação é de 6g/I e que a flutuação é uma flutiação por descarga de pressão.
