Patente de Invenção: "ANEL POLIMÉRICO BIOCOMPATÍVEL BIPARTIDO". Esta invenção é um anel corneal intratarsal (40) ("ICR"), que não é de dimensão uniforme (54, 56). Ele tem, tipicamente, duas ou mais áreas salientes (ou áreas de massa adicional) espaçadas entre si sobre o anel. O desenho do anel (40), quando introduzido no estroma e apropriadamente introduzido nele, permite, pelo menos, uma correção parcial de astigmatismo no olho.
