Abstract
STENT, VÃLVULA, E, MÃTODO PARA TRATAR UM PACIENTE.Um stent (10) para uso em uma válvula cardÃaca protética tem uma seção de coroa circular (12) adaptada para colocação dentro dos folhetos e anel da válvula cardÃaca natural. A seção de coroa circular tem membros de tranca (50) adaptados para engatar nos folhetos da válvula cardÃaca natural quando a válvula protética é implantada na válvula natural. Os membros de tranca podem reter os folhetos em engate com a seção de coroa circular, e ajudar a reter a válvula protética na posição. A seção de coroa circular pode ter uma forma de seção transversal não circular.
