Abstract

"MÉTODO E DISPOSITIVO PARA PROTEGER MODULADORES INTERFEROMÉTRICOS DE DESCARGA ELETROSTÁTICA". Um dispositivo MEMS, tal como, um modulador interferométrico, inclui um elemento de proteção ESD capaz de derivar para a terra uma corrente excessiva conduzida pelo condutor elétrico no dispositivo MEMS. O elemento de proteção pode ser um diodo e pode ser formado pela deposição de uma pluralidade de camadas de semicondutor dopadas sobre o substrato sobre o qual o dispositivo MEMS é formado.
