Abstract
"XILOSE ISOMERASES, ÁCIDOS NUCLÉICOS AS CODIFICANDO E MÉTODOS PARA FAZER E USÁ-LOS". A presente invenção refere-se a enzimas de xilose isomerase, polinucleotídeos codificando as enzimas, métodos de fazer e usar estes polinucleotídeos e polipeptídeos. Os polipeptídeos da invenção podem ser usados em uma variedade de contextos agrícolas e industriais. Por exemplo, os polipeptídeos da invenção podem ser usados para converter glicose em frutose ou para fabricar xaropes de frutose de teor alto em quantidades grandes. Outros exemplos incluem o uso dos polipeptídeos da invenção em confeitaria, preparação de cerveja, produção de álcool e refrigerantes e em alimentos diabéticos e adoçantes.
