Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "COMPOSIÇÕES E MÉTODOS DE CROMOSSOMA DE PLANTA". A presente invenção provê a identificação e clonagem de centrômeros de planta funcionais em Arabidopsis. Isto vai permitir a construção de minicromossomas estavelmente herdados que podem servir como vetores para a construção de células de planta e animais transgênicas. Em adição, informação sobre a estrutura e função dessas regiões será valiosa no isolamento de elementos genéticos centroméricos e relacionados ao centrômero e polipeptídeos de outras espécies.
