A invenção se refere a um tambor de montagem (1) expansível radialmente, para a fabricação de pneumático, que possui um corpo (10) montado em uma árvore central (2) e que apresenta uma superfície de recepção (3) dos produtos a reunir, cujas extremidades têm diâmetros diferentes, o dito tambor possui meios escamoteáveis (31) suscetíveis de se substituírem à extremidade da superfície de recepção (3) de menor diâmetro, e meios de expansão (17, 56, 57) do tambor (1) para duas posições expandidas distintas.
