Também são divulgadas composições farmacêuticas e cosméticas que compreendem um polímero que tem um grande número de unidades de repetição que têm a estrutura -(O~ 2~C-R-CO~ 2~)-, em que R é um radical hidrocarboneto insaturado, substituído ou não-substituído que tem 10 ou mais átomos de carbono e vários usos das ditas composições.
