Um processo para a separação de ácidos graxos C~ 12~ a C~ 24~ ramificados de alquila de uma mistura de ácido graxo que compreende ácido graxos C~ 12~ a C~ 24~ ramificados de alquila e lineares que compreendem: (i) opcionalmente hidrogenar a mistura de ácido graxo; (ii) resfriar a mistura para formar cristais, e (iii ) separar os ácidos graxos C~ 12~ a C~ 24~ ramificados de alquila da mistura por fracionamento a seco.
