A introdução de um material químico para acarretar transição seletiva para um estado líquido ou sólido e/ou não-ionizado de parte da alimentação é proporcionada. O processo oferece altas vantagens em virtude das espécies ionizadas e não-ionizadas estarem em equilíbrio umas com as outras.
