Abstract
Patente de Invenção USO DE UM COMPOSTO, PROCESSO PARA O TRATAMENTO E/OU PREVENÇÃO DE DISTÚRBIOS PSICÓTICOS, COMPOSTO, COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA, PROCESSOS PARA A PREPARAÇÃO DE UM COMPOSTO E DE UMA COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA'. Uma classe de derivados de pirrolo [2, 3-b] piridina, substituídos na posição 3 por um porção piperazinilmetila substituída, são antagonistas de subtipos receptores de dopamina no cérebro, tendo uma afinidade seletiva para o subtipo receptor D~ 4~ de dopamina acima de outros subtipos receptores de dopamina, e são, consequentemente, benéficos no tratamento e/ou prevenção de distúrbios psicóticos como esquizofrenia enquanto manifestando menores efeitos colaterais do que os associados com drogas neurolépticas clássicas.
