Patente de Invenção: "ESTERÓIDES DE ANDROSTANO COMO INICIADORES NEUROQUÍMICOS DE ALTERAÇÃO NA FUNÇÃO HIPOTALÂMICA HUMANA E COMPOSIÇÕES E MÉTODOS FARMACÊUTICOS RELACIONADOS". A invenção se refere a um método para alterar a função hipotalâmica de um indivíduo. O método compreende a administração por via nasal de um semioquímico humano, por exemplo um esteróide androstano, ou uma composição farmacêutica contendo um semioquímico, para que o ligador semioquímico se ligue a um receptor neuroepitelial específico. O esteróide ou esteróides é (são) de preferência administrado(s) na forma de uma composição farmacêutica contendo um ou mais veículos farmaceuticamente aceitáveis. Outras modalidades de invenção incluem composições farmacêuticas contendo os esteróides.
