Abstract

A invenção refere-se a um método para concentração de uma lama de argila submetendo-se a lama à troca de calor indireto em um trocador de calor para elevar a temperatura da lama ao mesmo tempo em que especificamente elimina-se a ebulição do líquido no interior do trocador de calor. A lama aquecida é subseqúentemente submetida a uma rápida redução de pressão para provocar evaporação por "flash" de parte do líquido. A rápida redução de pressão pode ocorrer em um vaso de separação ou um vaso de "flash".
