Abstract

Uma composição aquosa de revestimento para fibras que compreende um látex de poliuretano termoplástico e látex acrílico, o restante sendo água. O revestimento contém também uma cera parafínica ou um segundo látex acrílico. Quando reveste um feixe ou um cordão de fibras de vidro, as fibras de vidro são úteis para fibras óticas e cabos. Este revestimento é especialmente útil para reduzir o embebimento de água para dentro do filamento de vidro revestido.
