Abstract

PERMUTADOR DE CALOR E HUMIDADE PARA USO MÉDICO A presente invenção se refere a um permutador de calor e humidade (HME) tendo uma divisória ou filtro (15) formados através da plissagem de uma folha (150) feita dematerial capaz de reter e liberar calor e humidade. O HME (10) é caracterizado por as paredes (15a, 15b, 15c) da divisória (ou filtro) (15) serem parcialmente ou completamente revestidas com material vedante para definir pelo menos duas áreas expostas (A1, A2) através das quais o gás inalado (F1) e o gás exalado (F2) fluem respectivamente. Além disso, cada folha (150) de material está dividida em unidades idênticas (150a) "dobradas em leque",em utilização, umas sobre as outras para formar um primeiro conjunto de passagens (150b) através das quais apenas o gás inalado (F1) flui, e um segundo conjunto de passagens (150c) através das quais apenas o gás exalado (F2) flui.
