Abstract
PROCESSO PARA PREPARAÇÃO DE (5)-PANTOPRAZOL. A presente invenção fornece processo aperfeiçoado para preparação de (S)-pantoprazol, em que 5-difluorometoxi-1 -benzoimidazol-2-tiol reage com 2-clorometil-3,4-dimetoxipiridina na presença de catalisador de transferência de fase e base em um meio solvente para obter 5-(difluorometoxi)-2-(((3,4-dimeoXipiridin-2-il) metil) tiol )-1 H-benzoimidazol. É submetido in situ à oxidação estereoseletiva na presença de reagente estereoseletivo, agente de oxidação e base para obter (S)-pantoprazol, que opcionalmente é tratado com solução alcalina para obter (S)-pantoprazol puro. (S)-pantoprazol puro reage com base em um meio solvente para obter sais farmaceuticamente aceitáveis e estáveis de (S)-pantoprazol ou suas formas hidratadas.
