Os compostos de fórmula 1 possuem atividade para inibir a produção do peptídio Ab. A invenção também refere-se a composições farmacêuticas e métodos para o tratamento de doenças e distúrbios, por exemplo, distúrbios neurodegenerativos e/ou neurológicos, exemplo, mal Alzheimer, em um mamífero compreendendo compostos de fórmula 1.
