Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA OBTENÇÃO DE ÁCIDO 12HIDROXIESTEARÍNICO". A invenção refere-se a um processo para obtenção de ácido 12hidroxiestearínico e dos sais do mesmo de uma gordura ou óleo nativo, particularmente de óleo de rícino, caracterizado pelo fato de que a) em uma primeira etapa, a gordura ou óleo nativo é hidrolisado sob ação catalítica de uma ou mais enzimas, a uma temperatura entre 15 e 50 C, sendo que é formado ácido ricinólico, b) a glicerina formada e a enzima são separadas, c) o produto de hidrólise é hidrogenado cataliticamente, d) o produto obtido desse modo é formulado.
