Abstract

"FILTROS DE CIGARRO DE ELEVADA EFICÁCIA TENDO FIBRAS DE MICROCAVIDADES MODELADAS IMPREGNADAS COM MATERIAIS ADSORVENTES E ABSORVENTES". Esta invenção é um filtro altamente eficiente contendo fibras (22) que contém adsorventes / absorventes de tamanho de partícula pequena (23) tais como carbono e/ou sílica para seletivamente reduzir componentes alvejados em fumaça de cigarro de corrente principal. A invenção refere-se a uma nova classe de filtros de fumaça de cigarro altamente eficientes preparados de partículas finas muito menores (preferivelmente de 1 a 50 micrômetros em diâmetro) impregnadas em fibras modeladas (22) que possuem microcavidade aberta ou semi-aberta. A invenção também referese a um cigarro (10) tendo uma configuração de tampão / espaço / tampão (12, 14, 16) ou tampão / espaço (12, 14) e tendo os filtros impregnados resididos no espaço de maneira não trançada ligada ou livremente soltos desamarrados para permitir a liberação de TPM controlada.
