Abstract
Um elemento de filtro é fornecido. O elemento de filtro inclui um pacote de meios de filtro incluindo uma superfície externa. A superfície exterior estende-se entre uma primeira face de fluxo e uma segunda face de fluxo. O elemento de filtro também inclui um revestimento polimérico aplicado na superfície exterior do pacote de meios de filtro, em que o revestimento polimérico não é uma estrutura moldada. Nas modalidades, o revestimento polimérico cobre pelo menos 25% de uma extensão entre a primeira face de fluxo e a segunda face de fluxo e tem uma espessura média entre 0,005 e 0,100 polegadas. Em outras modalidades, o revestimento polimérico tem uma rugosidade de superfície de pelo menos 50 µpol para fornecer uma superfície de pega externa. Um método e sistema para aplicar o revestimento polimérico ao elemento de filtro também são fornecidos.
