Um sistema de montagem para montar um componente eletrônico (2) em um alojamento (8) compreende um elemento de amortecimento viscoelástico (14, 20) para amortecer a transmissão de vibração do alojamento (8) para o componente (2) em uso e um suporte (24, 52) para suportar o componente (2) no alojamento (8) independentemente do elemento de amortecimento (14, 20), pelo que o peso do componente (2) é substancialmente ou completamente removido do elemento de amortecimento (14, 20). O suporte (24, 52) é configurado para ser liberável de forma seletiva do componente (2), de modo que o componente (2) seja, então, suportado apenas pelo elemento de amortecimento (14, 20).
