Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "TOXINAS DE BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS E GENES PARA CONTROLAR PRAGAS DE COLEÓPTEROS" . A presente invenção refere-se a materiais e processos utilizáveis no controle de pragas e, particularmente, pragas de plantas. Mais especificamente, a presente invenção refere-se a novos genes e toxinas pesticidas referidas como 86A 1(b) e 52A 1(b). Nas formas de realização preferidas, as toxinas em questão são usadas para controlar besouros pequenos do gênero Phyllotreta. Usando os genes aqui descritos, a transformação das plantas pode ser obtida usando técnicas bem conhecidas dos versados na técnica. Além disso, a presente invenção provê genes de toxina otimizados para expressão em plantas.
