Um método para a preparação de pirrolcarboxiamidas as quais se ligam seletivamente a receptores de GABAa; o qual compreende a reação de 1,3-cicloalcanodionas com bromoacetato de etila seguido por reação do produto resultante com um haleto de ácido seguida por reação com uma amina aromática e finalmente com uma fonte de amônio a uma temperatura elevada.
