Um pneumático rodagem plana (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, e 6) tem um elemento de reforço de banda de rodagem (101) radialmente para dentro da banda de rodagem (12). O pneumático tem uma altura de seção defletida H~ 30~ sob uma carga em uma inflação de 2,10 kg/cm² (30 psi), e uma altura de seção defletida H~ 0~ em 0 psi onde a deflexão D~ 30~ são iguais a ou menores do que D~ 0~-D~ 30~ e a área de contato bruto em 0 psi tem um contato dinâmico de perímetro em pelo menos a forma em U ou retangular.
