Descreve-se um processo para a preparação de ésteres de ácidos carboxílicos, caracterizado pelo fato de que, como catalisador, é utilizado um composto de estanho (IV) ligado em um suporte inorgânico, contendo um radical de fórmula na qual, L é um radical pelo menos divalente e pelo menos uma das valências livres do Si na fórmula (I) está ligada ao suporte inorgânico; novos compostos de estanho (IV) e sua preparação.
