A presente invenção refere-se a produtos de transesterificação ou de esterificação do amido ou de derivados do amido, processáveis de maneira termoplástica, com, por exemplo, lactonas, ácidos graxos, éster-amidas e similares, sendo que o amido ou derivado de amido, antes da esterificação ou da transesterificação, é levado à fusão por meio de plastificantes ou agentes de plastificação adequados.
