Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "GRÂNULOS DE LIGA INTERMETÁLICA DE ESTRÔNCIO-ALUMÍNIO" . Grânulos de liga mestra enriquecida de alumínio-estrôncio para uso primariamente na modificação da fase eutética em ligas de moldagem de alumínio-silício. Os grânulos de liga mestra são predominantemente compostos intermetálicos Al~ 4~Sr, Al~ 2~Sr ou AlSr e misturas dos mesmos. Usando tais ligas intermetálicas dominantes em um estado granulado consegue-se dissolução rápida em massas fundidas de liga de alumínio-silício. A composição de liga mestra pode ser adicionada diretamente a um teor da massa fundida ou injetada à mesma. A composição de liga mestra também pode ser misturada com grânulos de alumínio e extrusada em um bastão ou entranhada em uma barrinha de alumínio fundido. A liga mestra também é útil como um inoculante para ferro fundido cinzento.
