Toxinas codificando genes B. thuringiensis ativas contra pragas nematóides foram clonadas a partir das cepas PS80JJ1, PS158D5, PS167P, PS169E, PS177F1, PS177G, PS204G4 E PS204G6. As toxinas são ativas especialmente contra Panagrellus redivivus , conforme exemplificado no pedido. Os DNAs codificando as toxinas podem ser usados para transformar vários hospedeiros, tais como. plantas, para expressar as toxinas.
