Abstract

COMPOSIÇÕES E PROCESSOS PARA FABRICAÇÃO DE FIBRAS E AGREGADOS REVESTIDOS COM ETRINGITA Composição e processo para a deposição de etringita (3CaO.Al~ 2~O~ 3~.3Ca (SO~ 4~) . 30 - 32H~ 2~O) sobre as superfícies de fibras, agregados e outros enchimentos. A etringita é produzida no local dentro de uma suspensão aquosa enquanto na proximidade das fibras, agregados e outros enchimentos para formar um material composto mineralizado compreendendo fibras, agregados ou outros enchimentos revestidos com etringita. Fibras, agregados ou outros enchimentos revestidos com etringita são formados pela adição de reagentes químicos tais como óxido de cálcio e sulfato de alumínio, os quais reagem juntos na presença de água para formar etringita, a qual em seguida precipita sobre a superfície das fibras ou dos outros substratos sendo tratados. As fibras agregadas ou outros enchimentos tratados com etringita podem ser adicionados a materiais sedimentáveis hidraulicamente para melhorar a ligação química e mecanicamente as fibras ou outros substratos dentro do material composto sedimentável hidraulicamente endurecido resultante, especialmente um material aglutinante ou de concreto.
