A invenção fornece um contrapeso para incorporação em uma bola para esportes, uma bola para esportes que incorpora tal contrapeso e um método de produção de bola. O contrapeso (19) é fornecido na cobertura em uma bola para esportes inflável de modo a contrabalançar o desequilíbrio gerado pelo peso diferente da válvula (13) comparado com a cobertura da bola em outro lugar. Resulta uma bola mais estável e previsível.
