Patente de Invenção: PROCESSO DE EVITAR FOTOENVELHECIMENTO DE PELE" . O fotoenvelhecimento de pele não-danificada devido à exposição à irradiação de UVB é inibido por administração de um agente que inibe, pelo menos um de (1) a atividade das MMPS induzidas por irradiação de UVB na pele, (2) um ou ambos dos fatores de transcrição AP-1 e NF-B ou (3) pelo menos uma das proteínas ou quinases de ligação de GTP, envolvidas na ativação e/ou produção de proteínas jun ou fos que compreendem AP-1; e administração tópica do dito inibidor à pele antes de tal exposição.
