O porta-disco (2) consiste em chapa e apresenta um anel externo (5) que é dotado de uma ranhura anelar dobrada (11) para a fixação do disco abrasivo (1). O anel externo (5) apresenta pelo menos uma estria (14) que serve de nervura de reforço.
