Abstract
"SISTEMA TRANSPORTADOR COM COMPRIMENTO AJUSTÁVEL". Trata-se de montagem de transportador para transportar e para armazenar um material em tira em um sistema transportador que está sujeito a mudanças no comprimento do material em tira devido à operação intermitente, que inclui um transportador superior (16), um transportador central substancialmente horizontal ajustável (22) para receber o material em tira (34) a partir do transportador superior e um transportador inferior (28) para receber o material em tira associado a partir do transportador central. Um computador (94) controla o movimento e a rotação do transportador central e um aparelho de detecção de folga no transportador central também pode detectar folga (90) no material em tira carregado pelo transportador central e assim detectar mudanças no comprimento do material em tira não predeterminadas pelo computador. Um servo-mecanismo (100) ativado por sinais do computador ou do aparelho de detecção de folga move o transportador central em uma direção substancialmente horizontal.
