Finos, por exemplo, finos de minerais, tais como finos de carvão são estruturas aglomeradas em briquetes ou tabletes por uma operação em prensa de rolo a frio usando como aglutinante uma resina de resol de fenol-formaldeído alcalina curada por éter juntamente com um oxi-ânion para acentuar a resistência a verde.
