A presente invenção é relativa a um sistema de controle de disparo (5) e, mais particularmente, a um processo para estimar um componente periódico de uma trajetória de alvo (3). Um estimador eficiente de resolução rápida é concretizado que estima primeiro o período e depois a amplitude do componente periódico com base nas mais recentes medições feitas.
