Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "QUEIMA DE PARTÍCULAS DE ALUMINA SOL-GEL" . Alumina sol-gel que é seco porém não queimado pode ser moída explosivamente por alimentação do gel seco a um forno mantido a temperaturas acima daquelas às quais os materiais vaporizáveis são eliminados pelas partículas de gel. A temperaturas adequadamente elevadas a queima é suficiente para formar partículas de alumina alfa completamente densificadas de um tamanho adequado para uso direto como grãos abrasivos.
