As embalagens hermecitamente vedadas para alimentos, cigarros e outros, são formadas a partir de material de embalagem (37) tendo uma fita de rasgar (33) fixada no mesmo. A fita de rasgar inclui uma superfície formada de um material (7) que flui sob as condições necessárias para vedar as porções (8, 9) do material de embalagem juntas quando fechando a embalagem de modo a encher quaisquer intervalos entre as porções de fita e o material de embalagem.
