Os pesticidas são formulados em vários modos, incluindo polvilhos, pulverizações, xampús e sabões, e podem ser ligados a um suporte sólido ou provido como isca ou diretamente impregnados em material orgânico infestado por ou suscetível de infestações por uma praga alvo. As pragas controladas incluem mosquitos, piolhos, formigas, baratas, piolhos e carrapatos.
