Dibenzimidazóis novos e conhecidos da fórmula: onde: R^ 1^ e R^ 2^ podem ser os mesmos ou diferentes e significam C~ 6~H~ 4~ R^ 3^-, C~ 6~H~ 3~(OH)R^ 4^ - ou heterociclila, R^ 3^ significa hidróxi, amino, alcóxi inferior ou ciano e R^ 4^ significa halogênio, alquila inferior ou alcóxi inferior, bem como sais farmaceuticamente utilizáveis dos compostos da fórmula geral I são antibacterianos, especialmente contra Staphylococcus, Enterococcus e Heliobacter pylori.
