Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "NOVO MÉTODO DE FORNECIMENTO DE PROGESTERONA E EFEITO DO MESMO". A presente invenção ensina que níveis relativamente baixos de progesterona no soro, 1 a 6 ng/ml, podem ser usados para prevenir câncer endometrial. O fornecimento vaginal de progesterona usando-se um polímero policarboxílico reticulado produz este baixo nível de progesterona no soro enquanto também provendo a transformação secretória total do endométrio, indicando a eficácia da progesterona. Tais níveis baixos de progesterona no soro diminuirão o risco de câncer de mama experimentado por mulheres submetidas à terapia de reposição hormonal ("HRT") e minimizarão o potencial de outros efeitos colaterais associados à progesterona indesejáveis.
