Abstract

Patente de Invenção de "COMPOSTO DE NAFTOPIRANO E ARTIGO FOTOCRÔMICO". Descrevem-se novos compostos de 3h-nafto[2,1-B]pirano fotocrômicos reversíveis, da fórmula gráfica (IA), onde R1 é hidrogênio ou alquila, R2 é hidrogênio ou, preferivelmente, um grupo carboalcoxi e R3 é hidrogênio ou preferivelmente um grupo alquila, disposto que qualquer um de R1 ou R2 é hidrogênio, e B e B' são os grupos arila fenila ou naftila, um grupo aromático heterocíclico ou, em conjunto, formam um grupo espiro adamantileno. Descrevem-se também materiais orgânicos hospedeiros que contêm ou que são revestidos com tais compostos. Também são descritos artigos tais como lentes oftalmológicas ou outras transparências plásticas que incorporam os novos compostos de naftopirano ou combinações dos mesmos com compostos fotocrômicos complementares, por exemplo, compostos do tipo espiro (oxazina).
