Um amido-peróxido-ácido, tendo a fórmula (I), em que R escolhido do grupo que consiste de radicais alquileno C~ 1~-C~ 16~, ciclo-alquileno C~ 5~-C~ 12~, arileno C~ 6~-C~ 12; R^ 1^ e R^ 2^ são escolhidos do grupo que consiste de radicais hidrogênio, alquila C~ 1~-C~ 16~, ciclo-alquila C~ 5~-C~ 12~ e arileno C~ 6~-C~ 12~; n e m são inteiros cuja soma é 1; e M é escolhido do grupo que consiste de cátions e radicais hidrogênio, metal alcalino, metal alcalino terroso, amônio e alcanol-amônio de 1 a 10. O amido-peróxido-ácido é útil para substratos de alvejamentes, tais como, lavagem de roupa colorida, louça e superfície duras domésticas. É também descrito um processo e composição de alvejamento que inclui um tenso-ativo.
