Abstract
A presente invenção é uma pilha alcalina aperfeiçoada (10) em que a capacidade de cada um dos anodo (20) e catodo (16) é pelo menos 0,48 e de mais preferência pelo menos 0,5 ampere-hora por cm^ 3^ de volume interno da pilha. Isto é obtido utilizando densidades de zinco de pelo menos 1,4 gramas de zinco por cm^ 3^ de volume de anodo e densidades de dióxido de manganês de pelo menos 2,7 gramas por cm^ 3^ de volume de catodo.
