O conjunto é composto de uma parte fixa e outra móvel. A parte fixa constitui-se do mecanismo de cadeamento do conjunto, sendo afixada na coluna de direção do veículo, abaixo do volante por abraçadeira. A parte móvel constitui-se do mecanismo de travamento dos pedais de freio e embreagem do veículo que quando acoplado ao mecanismo de cadeamento imobiliza os pedais do veículo.
