Compostos de fórmula da fig (I) onde A é uma cadeia de alquileno C~ 1~ ou C~ 2~ opcionalmente substituída por alquila inferior, Z é um radical bicíclico contendo oxigênio (por exemplo 2,3-dihidro-1,4-benzodioxin-5-ila), R é hidrogênio ou alquila inferior, R^ 1^ é arila ou arilalquila inferior e R^ 2^ e R^ 3^ são grupos especificados e os sais de adição de ácido farmaceuticamente aceitáveis são novos. Eles são antagonistas de 5-HT~ 1A~ que podem ser usados, por exemplo, no tratamento de ansiedade.
