Patente de Invenção: "CARBOXAMIDAS BICÍCLICAS COMO ANTAGONISTAS DE 5-HT1A". Carboxamidas bicíclicas da fórmula (I) e os sais de adição de ácido farmaceuticamente aceitáveis são agentes de ligação de 5-HT~ 1A~, particularmente antagonistas de 5-TH~ 1A~, e podem ser usadas, por exemplo, como ansiolíticos. Na fórmula, X representa -CR^ 2^ = CR^ 2^- ou - (CR^ 2^)~ q~-; m representa 0, 1 ou 2; n representa 0, 1 ou 2; p representa 0, 1, 2 ou 3, e q representa 0, 1, 2 ou 3; A é uma cadeia de alquileno de 1 ou 2 átomos de carbono opcionalmente substituída por um ou mais grupos alquila inferior; R é um radical arila ou heteroarila mono ou bicíclico; R^ 1^ é um radical arila ou aril (inferior) alquila; e cada R^ 2^ é independentemente hidrog[enio ou alquila inferior.
