Abstract

Uma almofada anti-explosão altamente eficiente (6, 7) compreendendo múltiplas chapas de rede de metal expandido (10) separadas por uma camada de núcleo de material poroso tal como fibra de vidro, enchimento de algodão ou um conjunto de bolas em miniatura (22, 23, 24) formadas de rede de metal expandido. Quando cobrindo uma parede ou outro elemento estrutural, a almofada estratiforme dissipa efetivamente as ondas de choque e os efeitos térmicos de uma explosão de bomba em uma faixa estreita.
