Esta invenção ainda se refere a genes ou fragmentos de genes que foram clonados dos novos isolados de Bacillus thuringiensis que têm atividade formicida. Estes genes ou fragmentos de genes podem ser usados para transformar hospedeiros apropriados para controlar formigas.
